Tales of Kepheaream
Creative writing & Illustrative work

Travel to the edge of the world, to the realm of Kephaream.
Kephaream is my very own homebrew world, with its own races, culture and history.
It is a medieval fantasy world with Gods, magic and mysteries.
On this page, I will show and tell about the various work I have created for this world.
With great pleasure have I started several creative writing projects with this world in mind, focusing on lore but also stories of people living in this realm. This all hoping that one day, through game systems like Dungeons & Dragons, I will be able to let other people explore this world on their own terms. Until that day comes, I share my various lore and stories over on Wattpad, titled Tales of Kephaream.
This project allows me to explore more than just creative writing, but also environmental design, character design and similar things. I am an artist at my core and thus such an opportunity shouldn't go to waste.

Every world deserves its very own map, and after many iterations, I have created the above to represent mainland Kephaream. The design for this map uses no pre-made object brushes and is thus entirely drawn by hand in ClipStudioPaint, enriched by some texture layers.

The races living in Kephaream have been greatly inspired by European folklore and Dungeons & Dragons. I have written about these races here, but after having written it all out I thought it not only good practice but interesting addition to illustrate these 12 portraits for all the various races to give them a visual representation. I wanted these to be simple, characteristic and have a certain feel to them. I think the pencil texture of the brush I used lends itself very well to this. On top of that, all the illustrated people you see here are characters found within my stories.
